    From Citrix CTX135438 How to Suppress the Add Account Window in Citrix Receiver for Windows: After installation, Workspace app or Receiver will launch and ask you to add an account. If Workspace app or Receiver 4.4.1000 or newer, notice the checkbox Do not show this window automatically at logon. Using Citrix Workspace App client still remains as the first choice for connecting to Bloomberg Anywhere. HTML client has certain restrictions related to the access to the local files. Bloomberg Excel Add-In with BLOOMBERG ANYWHERE allows you to use a remote version of Microsoft Excel running on Bloomberg servers. This is a fully functional. Then maximize the Citrix Workspace App again, easiest is by click the Full Screen button in the Citrix Workspace App toolbar on the top. It should now run full screen on multiple monitors. If that doesn't work, there might be a limitation set by your IT administrators.

    Objective

    This article describes how to enable users to add non-secure (HTTP instead of HTTPS) stores using Receiver.

    Instructions

    For Receiver 3.1 and later, only secure (HTTPS) stores are allowed by default. The following procedure describes how to bypass this limitation in order to use HTTP in test environments.
    Note: Citrix recommends using HTTPS in production environments.

    Caution! Refer to the Disclaimer at the end of this article before using Registry Editor.

    How To Add Citrix Workspace

    Complete the following steps:

    1. Click Start and enter regedit

    2. For 64-bit Windows client machines, navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREWow6432NodeCitrix
      For 32-bit Windows client machines, navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWARE Citrix

    3. In Dazzle, set AllowAddStore value to A to allow users to add non-secure stores.
      Or, set AllowSavePwd value to A to allow users to save their passwords for non-secure stores.

    4. To add a store that is configured in StoreFront with a TransportType of HTTP, add the following value in AuthManager:
      Location: For 32-bit - HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWARECitrixAuthManager
      For 64-bit - HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREWow6432NodeCitrixAuthManager
      Name: ConnectionSecurityMode
      Value Type: REG_SZ ( String Value )
      Value: Any

    5. Exit and restart Receiver.

    Note: AllowAddStore can be set to N, S or A:

    • N: Prevents users from adding or removing stores.

    • A: Allows users to add and remove both secure (HTTPS) and non-secure (HTTP) stores.

    AllowSavePwd can also be set to N, S or A. The default is the value specified from the PNAgent server at run time. It specifies whether users can save credentials for stores locally on their computer and applies only to stores using the PNAgent protocol.

    • N: Prevents users from saving their passwords.

    • S: Allows users to save their passwords for secure stores only (HTTPS).

    • A: Allows users to save their passwords for secure (HTTPS) and non-secure (HTTP) stores.


    Receiver 4.x do not allow for store configuration via direct manipulation of Windows registry. Receiver ADMX template (GPO) or command line (both installation and run-time) are provided instead.

Citrix cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the incorrect use of Registry Editor can be solved. Use Registry Editor at your own risk. Be sure to back up the registry before you edit it.

    This document outlines the process to install the Citrix Workspace App for a Windows Computer. The Citrix Workspace app runs the Virtual Applications & Desktops and must be installed on your computer for them to work.

    1. Open up your internet browser of choose (we suggest Google Chrome).
    2. Navigate to https://www.citrix.com/downloads/workspace-app/windows/workspace-app-for-windows-latest.html
    3. Click the button labeled 'Download Citrix Workspace app for Windows'


    4. Save to your downloads folder6. Double click 'CitrixWorkspaceApp' icon to run the installer.


    7. Click 'Yes' to the pop up asking if you would like to allow the app to make changes to your computer (not everyone will get this pop up)

    8. In the 'Welcome to Citrix Workspace' window, click the 'Start' button.

    9. On the License Agreement window, check the 'I Accept the License Agreement' box and click the 'Install' button.

    10. On the Installation successful window, click the 'Finish' button. (Do not add an account, this is not necessary)

    11. Citrix Workspace App is now install on your computer and is ready to be used.
